A Quote to Contemplate...
"Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can." - Charles Wesley

Eph. 5:11 - have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness" - I have not said much, about Halloween, however, tonight MANY children will dress up (with parents help) as demons, vampires, ghosts, etc. As a Christian I am to folllow Eph. 5:11. Halloween is a holiday straight from the pits of Hell. Read and find the truth about this WICKED "holiday". What does Christ have to do with the devil? NOTHING!!

I don't deserve it, but it's mine. I didn't think I needed it, but without it hell was my destiny. I said I'd be ok, but I was dead without it. I tried my own way, but found myself in a deep pit that I couldn't get out. Then He came by. He gave me what I didn't deserve, what I desperately needed, & the only thing that would give life to my lifeless soul. "What is it?" Jesus gave me mercy & along with that, His grace.

Navy Day -
Many nations around the world celebrate their navies, with a special day dedicated to them. In the United States, Navy Day is commonly celebrated on October 27th. This date was selected as it was the birth date of President Theodore Roosevelt, an avid supporter of the U.S. Navy. In the 1970's, research determined that the birthday of the U.S. Continental Navy was October 13, 1775.

My Prayer - "Lord, I thank You for your mercy. I am NOT worthy, yet you took me just as I was. I didn't change ANYTHING. You changed me from the inside out. Today I ask You to continue to change me. I don't want to be the same person today that I was yesterday, nor do I want to be the same person tommorrow that I am today. I desire continued growth and true humility. I want to be just like You.In Jesus name Amen."

National Mincemeat Day -
Mincemeat dates back to medieval times. It was a way to preserve food. It was also a treat, mixed with sweet fruits. It remains a traditional pie at Thanksgiving for many families. So, just what is mincemeat? It is a mixture of minced (or chopped up) meats, suet, and fruits. The meat is usually beef, either ground up or sirloin. Fruits include raisins, apples pear, and others.

Ps. 86:13 - Left to myself to indulge my passions, to rush onward with my natural vehemence, & defy the Lord with recklessness of levity, what a candidate for the lowest abyss should I have made myself by this time. For me, there was but one alternative, great mercy, or the lowest hell. With my whole heart do I sing, "Great is thy mercy towards me, & thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell." - crosswalk.com

My brother (Gregg) was invited to Hindu temple the other week. He had been talking about Jesus to someone. He invited them to church and in turn he was invited to the temple. This Hindu showed Gregg a little image and said this is the god I pray to. When Gregg told me that I thought how glad I am that I do not hold my "god" but my God holds ME!!! HE is ALMIGHTY and needs no help. No need to carry Him, He's got me!

Is. 61:10 - "he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness," - I am not worthy of what God wants to give me yet God, in His great love bids me come. I come naked, full of shame, guilt, & scarred by sin. He bends and cleanses me. He places a clean white robe of righteousness on me. I am now worthy, not because of what I did but because God made me worthy. PTL!!

"I Gave My Life for Thee" - by Frances R. Havergal, 1836-1879
5. And I have brought to thee Down from My home above Salvation full and free, My pardon and My love. Great gifts I brought to thee; What hast thou brought to Me?
6. Oh, let thy life be given, Thy years for Me be spent, World's fetters all be riven, And joy with suffering blent! I gave Myself for thee: Give thou thyself to Me.
Well there you have it.

3. My Father's home of light, My rainbow-circled throne, I left for earthly night, For wanderings sad and lone. I left it all for thee; Hast thou left aught for Me?
4. I suffered much for thee, More than My tongue may tell, Of bitterest agony, To rescue thee from hell. I suffered much for thee; What canst thou bear for Me?
One more wave of questions!!

"I Gave My Life for Thee" - by Frances R. Havergal, 1836-1879
1. I gave My life for thee, My precious blood I shed, That thou might'st ransomed be And quickened from the dead. I gave My life for thee; What hast thou given for Me?
2. I spent long years for thee In weariness and woe That an eternity Of joy thou mightest know. I spent long years for thee; Hast thou spent one for Me?
More to come!!

Evaluate Your Life Day
Today pause and reflect upon our life, where it's been, and where its going. C'mon, be honest with yourself. Are things going well? What is bothering you? What do you need, or want, to change?
With a self evaluation, you can then make big changes to improve the quality of your life, as necessary. Or, if things are going well, just tinker with small adjustments.

Exodus 34:14 - For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: - When we think of the names & attributes of God we think of love, longsuffering, Holy, Righteous, & saving. What we don't think of is JEALOUS for God's name and attribute. God indeed is Love but He is also Jealous & will not SHARE your devotion with anything or anyone. Put God 1st or see Him Jealous.

Wear Something Gaudy Day
Today is your chance to really stick out in a crowd.
The word "gaudy" refers to something bright, cheap, showy, outlandish, or otherwise not in good taste.
For just one day, forego fashion & style. Look for something to wear that's really wild & wacky, & will stick out like a sore thumb wherever you go.

Lamentations 3: 23 - great is thy faithfulness. - Have you noticed God's great faithfulness in your life? How has God shown you His faithfulness? God is faithful to us though we run from Him, fall into sin, feel rejected by Him - He's there. He is faithful when our friends turn from us, our family forsakes us, foes oppose us. He is faithful when we are on the mountaintop, when we sink into the valley. He is faithful.

Lam. 3:23 - great is thy faithfulness.- I am thankful that God is great in all He does, in all He is, & in all His thoughts towards us. Simply put God Himself is great therefore EVERYTHING He does must be great. He is the GREAT God! He is the GREAT merciful God! He is the Great compassionate God! He is the Great faithful God! He is the Great FAITHFUL God full of GREAT compassion Who gives GREAT mercies every morning!
Wednesday, October 12, 2011
lam. 3:22-23 - It is of the LORD'S mercies... his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: - Isn't it great to know that although we used God's compassionate mercies yesterday, He has enough for us today? As a matter of fact He has enough for us tommorrow as well. We will never hear Him say " That's all I can take... No more Mercy for YOU!" No his compassionate mercies are new EVERY MORNING!
Tuesday, October 11, 2011
Lam. 3:22- his compassions fail not. - God is a just, Holy, Sinless God who cannot nor will He allow sin in His presence, yet He has unfailing compassion. His compassion reaches to those who would deny, refuse,& hate Him. His compassion is so great that He became flesh and died for me & you. His compassion has never failed nor will it. Fall today in the compassionate arms of God. Today share the compassionate Savior.

Lamentations 3:22 - "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not." - What a powerful verse. We deserve destruction, God gives us redemptive love, we deserve discipline, God gives grace, we deserve eternal damnation, God gives mercy so we don't get what we DO deserve. We were His enemies and deserved His vengence, God, however gave - & still does - us compassion. PRASIE GOD!!

What? - Here is another question that every Christian should ask. "What am I doing in life that is making an eteral difference?", " What is getting in my way of spiritual growth?", "What philosophy am I adhering to, Christ's or the world's?", "What difference have I made in someone's life this week?" I encourage you today to take some quiet time today and ask "What?", then sit and listen as God speaks to your heart.
Thursday, October 6, 2011
"Why?" This is the question Christians should ask themselves. Why do I go to church? Why do I read my Bible? Why do I pray? Why do I teach? Why do I live a seperated lifestyle? Why do I go door to door? Why do I do these things, instead of participating in the worlds "fun" activities? Today take some quiet time and ponder the question "Why?".

Revelation 8:11 - "the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter." - Wormwood is something that is bitter. Wormwood in this passage affects many people, it kills them. Many times when we are bitter we are spiritual wormwood. We affect others & may even kill their spirits. If you are battling bitterness ask God to help you forgive now & don't be walking wormwood.
Monday, October 3, 2011
Phil. 3:10 "That I may know him," - It baffles me when Christians skip church. Why do we only do what is "required"? We don't grasp the concept that ANYTHING we put above God IS SIN. Why do we NOT desire to spend time with the One who died for us? Instead we say "I don't feel like going tonight. God understand's." Yes, He understands you are IN SIN. Follow God, not because you MUST but because He's your BEST FRIEND.
