Ecclesiastes 12:13 -" Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God,and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man: for this is the whole duty of man." - We make life too difficult. We work hard trying to impress people we don't even know. What life boils down to is we simply need to Fear God, & keep his commandments. Learn to do these 2 things & let God take care of everythingthing else.

Mat. 28:18 - "Jesus came & spake unto them, saying All power is given unto me in heaven & in earth" Today, Jesus - God in flesh - has ALL power! He's in control now! -Mat. 28:20 "I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." - He will be with us until "The End"! He will be in control then!! Rev. 22:20 - "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."!!!

Psalm 126:1-2 "1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. 2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing:" - Is this the reaction we will have as we step on Heaven's shore? "A Dream? No! It'sreal!!" We begin to laugh as we are filled with joy, then we begin to sing because we have been delivered from the bondage of sin!! What a wonderful day that will be!

In devo's this morning I came across Gen. 11:1-9. The tower of Babel. I noticed something I would like to share with you. The people were to repopulate the world. However, they saw a beautiful valley & decided to live there - comfort zone. They were being disobedient to the command of God, so God "shook things up" & scattered them abroad. When we become complacent in God, He will shake our world so we will obey Him.

James 3:9 - "Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God." Aw, the tongue! How we use it on Sundays to Praise the Lord, then on Monday when things don't go the way we want them we "curse" men and say things we shouldn't. As a result we may lose our testimony to those around. Be a mature Christian and say things that will bring honor to your savior.

Mark 13:32 - "But of that day and that hour knoweth no man.... but the Father." - I have heard people forecast Jesus return. In 1987 it was 1988. Now they say 2012! The fact is NOONE knows when Christ will return, but He will, & it could be ANY day. It is best to live as if it were today. Better to live a Holy life today & Christ not come then to live an unholy life today & be embarrassed when He does come.

Proverbs 11:14 - Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. - When an opportunity presents itself it wise to seek godly council. I have learned not every opportunity is of God. Sometimes Satan will offer opportunities that will lead you away from God. So when faced with a decision seek godly counsel. Then do the difficult thing...LISTEN to the counsel!

Proverbs 10:3 - The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked. - Some say that the book of Proverbs does not contain promises, only probabilities. I disagree, the book of Proverbs is chalk full of promises! Tell me, is it only probable that God will supply for the righteous? NO!!! It's a PROMISE! Praise God we can take God's Word for what it is... TRUE!

Psalm 32:1 - Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven whose sin is covered. I am blessed. Not because I have done ANYTHING to make that way. I am EVIL through and through -by the way so are you. If it were not for God's Grace I would be on the streets, in prison, hooked on drugs. I am blessed not because of who I am but because my transgressions are forgiven and my sins are covered...By His blood, I am blessed.

Ps. 46:10 says "Be still and know I am God..." Christians, we have become WAY to busy trying to keep up with the world that we forget we should desire NOTHING pf this world, after all we are strangers here. We are headed to our real home...heaven. We are here to be about God's business. What is God's business, saving souls. If we don't step up to the plate we will stand ashamed before our "Employer"...God Almighty.

Think of the impact Christians could have if everyone of us simply led one person to the Lord and discipled them this year! Stop & think about that for awhile; millions of Christians winning one person each, or at least sowing the seed. Too many times we are too bogged down, worried about offending or simply afraid to tell others of God's love. Remember, Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

2011's here! What are your goals for the year? I have been told that resolutions are a waste of time. It was also hinted that it's wrong to set them because they're a "promise" & the Bible says not to make promises. They are NOT promises they're goals set to better your life & make more of a difference in the world. It's better to have a goal to shoot @ even if it is missed then to be afraid to step up to the plate.
